LIFE Klimate Foundation Liechtenstein
Origins | The LIFE Climate Foundation Liechtenstein was established on 15 January 2009 and is a common-benefit foundation under Articles 552 et seq. of the Liechtenstein Persons and Companies Act (PGR), entered in the Commercial Register, and with its own legal personality. It is supervised by the Foundation Supervisory Authority (STIFA) of the Office of Justice and is not for profit.
Object and purpose | The LIFE Climate Foundation Liechtenstein is dedicated to promoting and raising awareness of all aspects of climate protection and sustainability. Its aim is to be a driver of innovation and an incubator in the field of sustainability in Liechtenstein and beyond by providing targeted support for flagship projects that serve as role models. At the same time, it involves the financial centre with the goal of building a bridge between sustainable business and investors. Clear support criteria are defined for evaluating the projects. The projects must exhibit a certain degree of innovation, present new business opportunities, distinguish themselves by their sustainability, and be unique from other projects in significant ways. The projects must also be credible, professionally managed, and replicable.
