Exploring digital assets, sustainability and AI in an ever-evolving landscape
From June 26-28, top policy makers, regulators and business leaders from all over the world will meet and discuss the challenges and opportunities in the context of the disruptive transformation driven by technology and how AI, digital assets and blockchain can support and accelerate sustainable finance.
This year’s Forum not only covers topics that will shape the financial industry worldwide in the coming years, but also precisely those topics that the Liechtenstein Bankers Association (LBA) has defined as the two cornerstones of its multi-year strategy in its Roadmap 2025. It is therefore obvious that the LBA has decided to engage as a Community Partner in this year's Point Zero Forum.
The event, a collaboration between the Swiss State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF), Elevandi, the BIS Innovation Hub, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and the Swiss National Bank, aims to address key events that have shaped the financial industry since the previous Forum and will continue to do so in the future.
In the realm of sustainability, the Forum will look into the data, technologies, and risk management solutions that can expedite a fair transition towards a low-carbon future, in light of developments such as the Net-Zero Data Public Utility (NZDPU) established at the UNFCCC's COP 27.
The AI section will delve into the potential of Generative AI for the financial services sector, acknowledging both the enormous efficiency gains and the challenges, like spreading of fake news, triggered by tools such as OpenAI's ChatGPT.
With regard to digital assets, the conference will take stock of global regulatory frameworks, market infrastructure, and use-cases for the adoption of digital assets and distributed ledger technology, in the context of the EU's newly approved MiCA regulation and global conversations on crypto asset regulation.
Each of these topics will be explored in panel discussions featuring global leaders from both public and private sector organizations. Learn more about the topics which will be covered in this year’s Point Zero Forum in this preliminary reading .
