ESG Kompakt webinar – Mobilizing Philanthropic Capital into Impact Investing
Impact investing holds great potential in mobilizing the scale of financial resources needed to address the world’s pressing problems. According to the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) total global impact investing assets in 2018 grew more than 50% from 2017. Yet, that growth is tiny relative to the overall investing marketplace—comprising only 1% of total US assets under management.
The upcoming seminar on the topic “Mobilizing Philanthropic Capital into Impact Investing” will address these issues and aims aims at helping organizations that seek to strategically deploy grant money that will create leverage in their impact investing portfolio.
Mirjam Garzon, Senior Advisor, Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), Fabio Segura, Co-CEO Jacobs Foundation and Oliver Karius, CEO LGT Venture Philanthropy Foundation, will shed light on the following questions:
- How can foundations create more outcomes through impact investing and why should they consider it?
- Which solutions help to scale philanthropic capital into impact investing?
- How can impact be measured?
The keynote speeches will be followed by a discussion with the two speakers moderated by Dr. Lars Kaiser.
