Liechtenstein alliance committed to sustainability
The UN’s sustainable development goals (SDG) should be more firmly anchored in Liechtenstein. To this end, the Liechtenstein Bankers Association (LBA), the Association of Liechtenstein Charitable Foundations and Trusts (VLGST) and the SDG Alliance Liechtenstein have entered into a partnership.
According to a joint press release, the organizations plan to provide further impetus to the 17 SDGs. “Coordinated, partnership-based collaboration between the state, economy, NGOs, associations, and science” is needed for a sustainable future for Liechtenstein and as an economic location as well.
This partnership is “an important milestone in connecting players from the business sector and philanthropy,” according to Werner Pohl, Co-President of the SDG Alliance Liechtenstein. Dagmar Bühler-Nigsch, Managing Director of the VLGST, adds: “Entry into the SDG alliance is important to us in order to develop the foundation’s potential even further and drive forward new forms of collaboration.”
Simon Tribelhorn, CEO of the Liechtenstein Bankers Association, states that it has already made a clear commitment to the sustainable development goals with its Roadmap 2025, adding: “Solidarity with the SDG Alliance contributes to this and gives a further boost to implementation of the SDGs in Liechtenstein.”
