Construction work starts on LLB’s Campus Giessen in Vaduz
LLB has begun construction work on its new office building in the Äuli district of Vaduz. With this project, one of the bank’s aims is to centralize workplaces, further details of which can be found in a press release. Campus Giessen, as the new building is known, is set to offer space for 250 employees, with construction work anticipated to be completed in time for the bank to move in during the third quarter of 2025.
The lightweight design in wood and concrete is designed to «enhance the attractiveness of outdoor spaces in the Äuli district», according to LLB. «As the longest-established bank in Liechtenstein, one of our priorities with the new building is to give something back to the people of Liechtenstein», as Patrick J. Fürer, Group Chief Digital & Operating Officer, explained in his speech during the groundbreaking ceremony on August 24.
On the ground floor, arcades will envelop the five-story building, with the aim of offering an informal, semi-public space. With a landscaped internal courtyard on the top floor and a western façade facing the Rhine, LLB promises an «interplay of spatial transparency and plasticity». As a green building, Campus Giessen has been awarded gold LEED certification in addition to complying with the Minergie P Eco Standard. ce/mm
