LGT is part of the leading group of best employers

Vaduz - Great Place to Work has placed LGT in Liechtenstein and Switzerland in the leading group of the best five employers for both countries in the large companies category. The bank’s subsidiaries in Dubai, London and Austria were also included in the Best Workplaces.

According to a press release from LGT Group, the consulting institute Great Place to Work already awarded LGT Bank third place in the large companies category of its Best Workplaces ranking back in 2019. This year, LGT Bank Switzerland and LGT in Liechtenstein both came in fourth place in the leading group of the best employers. The group’s subsidiaries in Dubai, London and Austria were also placed in their respective nationwide groups of the 45 best employers.

The consulting institute already awarded LGT the Great Place to Work certification back in January for Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and London. To do so, the consulting institute relies on an employee survey and documentation of the workplace culture from the employer’s perspective. Great Place to Work then selects the 45 Best Workplaces each year out of all of the certified companies, LGT explains in the press release.

The press release goes on to state that LGT won over the institute with the excellent results of its employee survey and its workplace culture. Roland Schubert, CEO at LGT Bank in Liechtenstein, is quoted there saying: “The excellent result confirms that we have the right conditions to provide our employees with an optimal working environment.” For Heinrich Henckel, CEO at LGT Bank Switzerland, the group’s workplace culture is characterized by “strong values such as respect, continuity, and entrepreneurial thinking.”

In another press release, LGT Private Banking has announced that it plans to reduce its net operational emissions to zero by 2030. At the same time, the net emissions from own investments are also to be decreased to zero. LGT writes that to do so, the bank plans to compensate for its unavoidable emissions by removing the same amount of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.
