The Liechtensteinische Landesbank is expanding into Germany. At the beginning of the year, 20 employees started working at the offices in Munich, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. A further 20 people are largely already under contract and will join the three teams in the coming months, according to a statement. LLB describes the expansion as a «significant» step.

«With our official launch in Germany, we can now offer financial services locally that are fully geared towards the needs of German clients,» commented LLB Group CEO Gabriel Brenna in the statement. The bank plans to focus on asset structuring, asset management and investment advice. Custodian bank and execution-only services for the end clients of independent asset managers will round off the portfolio. The booking location is Liechtenstein.

The Munich team will be led by Jochen Schindler-Nagy, who previously worked at UBS Europe and Credit Suisse. Lennart Marx joins LLB as his deputy from Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. Jan-Robert Bachmann is also moving from Deutsche Bank to LLB's Frankfurt office as deputy head, under office head Matthias Luck, who brings experience from UBS Germany and Julius Baer Germany, among others. The two managers of the Düsseldorf branch will join the team in the coming months. Several senior consultants have already started work there. ce/mm
