ESG Compact Webinar – EU Taxonomy in Practice
The European Union is a global leader in setting standards for sustainable finance and has put together an ambitious and comprehensive package of measures to help channel more money into sustainable activities in the EU. The aim of the package is to enable investors to shift their investments towards more sustainable technologies and companies, and in that way to make a substantial contribution to climate neutrality in Europe by 2050. At the core of this package of measures is the EU’s “climate taxonomy”. The taxonomy is a scientifically based classification system intended to become the global standard for determining whether an economic activity can be considered environmentally sustainable or not. It serves as an important guide for companies, investors, and financial intermediaries alike. The taxonomy will make the sustainability of economic activities measurable and more transparent.
The ESG Kompakt event on 14 September will address precisely these and other questions. You can look forward to two exciting keynote speeches on the topic of “EU Taxonomy in Practice” with two renowned international experts:
“EU Taxonomy and other sustainable finance regulations: What do they all mean?”
Dr. Gabriel Webber Ziero, LL.M., Head of Regulatory Advisory at ECOFACT, Zurich
“ESG data, metrics and complexity management – implications for financial markets”
Martina Macpherson – Head of ESG Strategy and an ExCo Member for ODDO BHF Asset Management & Private Equity
The two keynote speeches will be followed by a discussion with the two speakers moderated by Dr. Lars Kaiser.

About the ESG Kompakt seminar series:
ESG Kompakt serves as a platform to strengthen exchanges between players in the financial and real economy and to illuminate and discuss the topic of sustainability from a variety of perspectives.
Each seminar focuses on a specific aspect, looking at it from both a theoretical and practical standpoint. The overarching goal is to bring together the interests, expectations, and challenges of investors, the private sector, and policymakers in a single forum and to stimulate a holistic discussion on sustainable development.
