Financial players doing well in Middle East
The news platform WealthBriefing has presented its eighth MENA Awards. These awards honor innovative companies from the finance industry that are active in the Middle East and North Africa.
The winners include companies with headquarters in Switzerland. For instance, the Zurich-based fintech company Appway won in the ‘Best Onboarding Solution’ category. This company provides software solutions for financial service providers, which are already being used by banks such as HSBC and JP Morgan.
SwissQuant Group AG, another company based in Zurich, received two awards: one for ‘Most Innovative Use of Artificial Intelligence’ and one for ‘Most Innovative Wealth Management Client Solution’. The spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) develops intelligent technology products for the finance industry.
Two banks from Liechtenstein also received awards: Liechtensteinische Landesbank and LGT. Liechtensteinische Landesbank was also honored for its services to asset management in Oman and Bahrain.
LGT won in three categories. It received awards for its environment, social and governance (ESG) offering and its family governance consultation services in addition to an award in the ‘Pure Play Private Bank’ category.
The winners of the WealthBriefing MENA Awards could celebrate their victories at a gala in Dubai in November.
