Private Equity is an asset class that provides a reliable, consistent return for institutional investors such as the Harvard and Yale endowments. Its acceptance in the UK and North America is a fixed part of most institutional, retail and private portfolio’s. In contrast, continental Europe has a very hesitant if not direct aversion to the asset class. This perspective has changed slightly over the last few years.
